arborist Climber Job Description & Details
As an Arborist Climber & Crew Leader, you’ll play a central role in our field operations—this is one of our core arborist jobs. You’ll lead a crew, execute technical tree work, and help ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Position Highlights:
Full-time, hourly position
Hiring range: $26–$40 per hour
Field-based leadership role
Hands-on climbing and production work
3-month provisional period
Responsibilities Include:
Leading and supervising climbers and ground crew
Performing climbing, rigging, pruning, and removals
Planning job execution and coordinating equipment
Running daily safety meetings and enforcing protocols
Training and mentoring crew members
Communicating with customers onsite
Tracking job progress and crew performance
Maintaining job documentation and reporting
Qualifications We’re Looking For:
ISA Certified Arborist credential (required)
Minimum 2 years arboriculture experience
Strong climbing and rigging proficiency
Leadership experience or readiness to lead
Knowledge of ANSI A300, ANSI Z133, OSHA safety standards, and ISA management practices
Ability to perform physically demanding work
CDL Class A preferred
